Hello and Welcome to the March update. I have been busy in the studio developing a method for "fixing" large pastel pieces. As most folks know, pastel (being like chalk) needs to be "fixed" once the painting is complete; so that the painting can be stored/ framed without smudging. Well this becomes a bigger issue when you create large pieces; the spray fixative doesn't become very practicable after awhile (can go through alot of cans of expensive fixative!). i am experimenting with a spray "matt medium" approach; will let you know of the outcome of this in the near future. Meantime... I just make art.
